We're looking for a Sub-Agent to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects for Thames Water. In this role you will support projects and help deliver the requirements of the individual project to both above and below ground assets. Your initial focus will be Hogsmil, Surrey.
Location: Hogsmill, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Sub-Agent to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit. This role plays a vital role in supporting the Site Agent/Project Manager in the day-to-day management and successful delivery of specific sections or packages of work on a construction project. This role involves close liaison with subcontractors, direct workforce supervision, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, and contributing to project success.
Your day to day will include:
- Subcontractor management, coordinating site activities and monitoring performance and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Direct workforce management, supervising all direct workforce and monitoring progress and quality of craft.
- Quality control, implementing quality control procedures and checks and reporting on any quality issues.
- Material Management, assisting with ordering and delivery of materials as well as minimising waste.
- Cost control, identifying opportunities for cost savings and monitoring costs within allocated budgets all whilst also maintaining accurate records.
What are we looking for?
This Sub-Agent is great for you if you have:
- Some experience working in a construction trade or a related role is usually required. This demonstrates practical knowledge of site operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is highly beneficial, even if it's informal. This could include leading a small team or mentoring junior workers.
- Familiarity with working on construction sites and understanding the challenges and dynamics of a construction environment.
- A valid CSCS card and SSSTS.
