Looking to develop a career in social media and marketing? At Kier, we're looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our employer brand team.

 

This role will play a key part in supporting us with creating engaging and exciting content that shows off what it's like to work at Kier.

 

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire.  We can be flexible on location including working from our London office or remote working.  There will however be occasional travel to our sites. 

Contract: Permanent, full time - flexible and part time hours can be discussed

 

What will you be responsible for?

As an employer brand team, it's our job to share an authentic insight into what it's like to work at Kier and attract more candidates to apply for one of our roles.

This role as Social Media Assistant is varied, but your main responsibilities will focus on developing our social media platforms. You'll be able to bring new ideas to the table and create fun and exciting content to share across all platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.

We are a UK-wide business, and there will be lots of opportunities for you to travel to different Kier sites, meeting people across the business and sharing their stories.

Working closely with the senior employer brand specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • filming and editing videos about working at Kier, adapting the content to fit different platforms
  • researching and writing blogs to share on our website
  • trialling new ideas to keep our content relevant and on-trend
  • working closely with senior stakeholders to advise on best practice for social media
  • engaging with our social media communities, responding to comments as well as reviews on employee review platforms like Glassdoor

 

What are we looking for?

This role is perfect for someone with an interest in social media who is looking to develop a career in this space.

We're looking for someone with:

  • understanding of the different platforms and how to develop content to fit different audiences
  • ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to work collaboratively
  • clear written skills with the ability to adapt the copy for different purposes
  • photography/videography experience
  • graphic design skills
