We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our utilities arm of Kier called Natural Resources, working hybrid from home, office and across sites in the Midlands.

Location: working hybrid from home, Solihull office and across sites in the Midlands.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

We're seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join join us to develop, update and manage the construction programme to support on time delivery. Works will entail large Civil Engineering and process enhancement schemes, with typical project values ranging from £2m to £20m on wastewater works within the region.

Your day to day will include:

• Updating the Detailed Design Programme (Pre-Construction Schedule) along with our designers in assurance of providing a robust and realistic schedule that reflects the risk and opportunity that could impact key project milestones.
• Reviewing and developing the preferred construction sequence considering project wide constraints to confirm the duration in the overall scheme schedule
• Facilitate construction readiness planning and arranging, facilitating and providing output from client and supply chain collaborative planning sessions.
• Cost load the schedule and Generate Earned Value Analysis from the cost loaded schedule.
• Monthly updating of the schedule and reports and update and analyse the schedule based on the effects of Compensation events or other events which may affect the programme.
  
  

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Planner is great for you if you have:

• Proven background in a similar role, planning major civils projects om a water setting.
• You'll need experience of working in the contracting environment with the ability to build programmes from scratch and report using P6.
• Full driving licence.
