We're looking for a Senior Environmental Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team working on projects for our Water Sector clients, based from anywhere in the UK, but willing to travel to sites nationally.

Hours: Permanent, full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Responsibilities
As a Senior Environmental Manager, you'll support the Water Business Unit Managing Director and Senior Leaders to implement our Sustainability Strategy and achieve environmental excellence in our Water Business Unit. Providing specialist environmental support and compliance advice from pre-construction through to construction, you'll ensure sustainability and innovation is embedded into our projects.
Your day to day will include:
- Ensuring we are meeting client reporting requirements and promote Kier's Sustainability Strategy to our clients
- Chairing forums at a local level which drive innovation, best practice and progress towards the Sustainability strategy elements
- Engaging with pre-construction and operational teams to ensure Kier's Standards and Minimum Standards are understood and applied
- Ensuring Kier and the projects it delivers are compliant with all Environmental statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, and contract specific requirements including permit and licence applications
- Reporting on environmental performance to the Head of Environment and the Water Business Unit Senior Leadership team
What are we looking for?
This Senior Environmental Manager is great for you if you have:
- Proven lengthy experience working in an Environmental Management role within the construction industry
- Relevant degree / diploma in an environmental discipline or equivalent
- Chartered Environmentalist or a member of a relevant professional body (or demonstrable IPD / CPD equivalent), or
- Diploma in Environmental Management or similar
- Full UK Driving Licence
