We're looking for a Premises Officer to join our Kier places based in Greater London.
Location: Deptford Green School, Greater London.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (on a rota).
What will you be responsible for?
As a Premises Officer, you'll be working within the Kier places, supporting them in the day-to-day delivery of the Authority Requirements as per the PFI contract for the assigned school, while adhering to health and safety regulations, contract management protocols, and fostering a culture of environmental sustainability.
Your day to day will include:
- Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including buildings, fixtures,
fittings, and furniture, - Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly proactive quality checks of the premises to ensure the
highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality, - Perform thorough inspections of floors, walls, lights, windows, and other areas to identify any
damages, defects, or maintenance needs, - Carry out minor repairs and report major repairs to the Premises Manager.
What are we looking for?
This role of Premises Officer is great for you if:
- Previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance, or a related field,
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations with the ability to identify potential hazards
and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks, - Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure,
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
