Kier Nuclear & Energy are looking to recruit a Management Accountant who will report to the sector Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision and interpretation of financial and management information to support and inform the local management team.
Location: London - hybrid working available, with travel to office and sites 2-3 days per week
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
Reporting to the Nuclear finance business partner the role of Management Accountant is responsible for the P&L governance and reporting of the UKPN framework (£30m pa) which is part of the Nuclear & Energy sector (£170m pa)
Your day to day will include:
- Simplify and streamline processes and close down CVRs where reporting is no longer necessary
- Be the key Finance contact for the commercial and operational team at UKPN, work with them to resolve any issues at month end and throughout the month
- Ensure all costs incurred for other Kier business areas are captured accurately and recharged in a timely manner. Improve procedures so that costs hit correctly and are ‘right first time'
- Day to day support to business, working closely with the procurement lead to ensure the supply chain is well managed and understanding business issues and highlighting where they may be the early warnings of deviation to forecast
What are we looking for?
This role of Management Accountant is great for you if:
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), final stage part qualified accountants will be considered
- Excellent commercial knowledge and experience of operating in a Construction environment, with project accounting experience (or can demonstrate transferrable skills)
- Advanced data analytic and excel skills
- Good Communication skills
