We're looking for HR Compliance Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team based in Rushden.
Location: Rushden - hybrid working available, with 1-2 days per week in the Rushden office as required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a HR Compliance Advisor, you'll be working within the HR Shared Services team, supporting them with right to work and immigration related activities across Kier as well as employment screening for our existing members of staff such as DBS checks and security clearance. A key area of this role will be to support with the management of Kier's Home Office Licences and Skilled Worker sponsorship procedures, as well as developing and providing right to work training to those involved in the recruitment journey..
Your day to day will include:
- Providing guidance to the business on all UK immigration enquiries. Managing the ‘HR Compliance' queue on Oracle Service cloud in the required SLA's by answering queries on right to work and immigration related matters, seeking legal support as required.
- Keep up to date with Home Office rule changes and ensure queries are responded in line with updated legislation. Update guidance documentation and training documents in line with legislation updates.
- Support recruiters, HRBPs and hiring managers where a prospective or current employee requires a Skilled Worker sponsorship
- Ensure you and the team understand processes and procedures and follow the relevant process maps and LWIs (Local Working Instructions) as well as ensuring these are updated if any changes are made.
- Process certificates of sponsorship requests for existing or prospective Skilled Worker/Senior or Specialist Worker visa holders. Ensure information and documentation are collated to meet the Home Office sponsorship requirements.
- Take ownership of the Resident Permit expiry reminder process, obtaining updated right to work copies and personnel records by a set deadline
What are we looking for?
This role of HR Compliance Advisor is great for you if:
- Experience of right to work processes and the UKVI SMS for sponsored migrant workers
- Strong communication skills and a high standard of literacy with an ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a range of stakeholders across the business areas.
- Attention to detail must be second to none
- Confidence with a wide variety of Microsoft Office applications with experience working with HR systems such as Oracle
- Experienced in identifying and providing feedback on risks, controls/issues identified with right to work and providing recommendations to resolve in a timely manner
