We're looking for a Contracts Officer to join our regional build team based in London.
Location: London - hybrid working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent - Full Time
What will you be responsible for?
As a Contracts Officer, you'll be working within the London build team, supporting them in the compliance for all current and new contract wins.
Your day to day will include:
- Liaise with Commercial staff & Regional Finance Directors to provide cash flow forecast required for tender approvals in accordance with the Delegated Authorities.
- Checks on Contract Documents – read, review and approve (prior to Execution by Directors). Ensure letter of intent and / or contract documents (as applicable) are signed before work commences on site.
- Briefing and advice to project delivery team. Input into procurement strategy including Consultant & Sub-contractor design responsibilities and warranty requirements.
- To be a point of contact for advice on contractual matters / issues in business units during the lifecycle of a project liaising with Legal as required.
What are we looking for?
This role of Contracts Officer is great for you if:
- Maintain current knowledge of Construction Law, insurance matters and relevant changes in legislation and ensure knowledge is passed onto other BU staff and COGs.
- Ability to access and apply specialist legal and technical advice to protect Kier's commercial position in such areas as liabilities, indemnities, insurance and warranties.
- Member of a professional institution (desirable but not essential)
- Previous experience as a Contracts related role, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor ideally from a similar background or industry
