We're looking for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join our team based in either London or Rushden.
This is a new role to provide support to the Kier Company Secretarial team (CGI Team of the Year 2024) in the provision of high-quality corporate governance and company secretarial services to the Kier Group. Particular focus on UK subsidiary governance and compliance, project support and support to the PLC and wider business. This is a great opportunity to develop within an experienced and supportive team. It would suit a part qualified Chartered Governance professional with some previous experience gained in a company secretariat.
Location: London or Rushden - hybrid working available, with travel to offices as required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
The role is busy but rewarding, and you will be supported by a highly experienced team. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Governance and company secretarial service in respect of the UK Group subsidiaries including Board meeting minutes, directorate changes, confirmation statements, reviewing subsidiary company accounts, management of powers of attorney
- Day-to-day maintenance and development of the GEMS company secretarial database, producing reports and providing accurate information to colleagues.
- Assisting and supporting the department's contribution to the Kier Group plc Annual and Interim Reports, including appropriate research on high quality governance reporting, preparing year end confirmations for directors, preparing the subsidiaries list.
- Assisting and supporting the Annual General Meeting organisation and related matters.
- Support with listed company compliance filings such as RNS announcements and FCA filings.
- Department administrative support such as raising purchase orders, processing invoices and expenses for non-executive directors.
The successful candidate will bring strong team working values and a collaborative style together with excellent attention to detail, enabling you to support the team and wider business whilst developing as a Chartered Governance professional.
