We're looking for a Bid Writer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based Nationwide.

 

Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent, Full-time – flexible hours available if desired, just let us know

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Bid Writer, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team, supporting them in producing professionally written proposals that articulate the organisation's value proposition and win themes and ensuring the effective co-ordination and timely completion of PQQs and tenders, to an industry leading standard through working effectively with bid team members including subject matter experts..

Your day to day will include:

  • Produce and edit written proposals across a diverse portfolio (water, energy, nuclear, environmental) in line with the specific client bid strategy and key win themes and update and maintain our bid library of previous repsonse and evidence.
  • Develop written submissions in collaboration with subject matter experts including Operational, Technical and Commercial teams to ensure proposals are managed to strict deadlines and to the highest quality
  • Research client requirements and business needs to contribute to win themes
  • Participate in workshops to agree win strategy, themes and key messages, and ensure their incorporation into the bidding process
  • Lead storyboard sessions with bid / proposal team members and contributors and supporting bid writing business improvement forums.
  • Request, review and implement (where applicable) client feedback on PQQ/Tender submissions, including Contributing to lessons learned workshops as required
  • Supporting regional and framework evidence gathering and lessons learned workshops and undertake site visits, producing case studies and evidence bites.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Bid Writer is great for you if:

  • Proven skills in writing and editing proposal content in a similar business context with a background working for a main contractor or consultant and experience of utilities, nuclear, civil engineering or construction sector
  • Ability to specify, review and edit bid content from engineering and other professional personnel
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work at pace, under pressure
  • IT competencies across all major MS Office platforms
